Put The Brakes on Cycle Theft with Trimetals

There's now an affordable way to 'put the brakes on bicycle theft' from the UK's homes with the unique, high security Protect a Cycle storage unit from Trimetals, the first and only bicycle store that has the Secured by Design mark – the Police Preferred Specification. Cycle theft has doubled in the last decade with half a million bicycles stolen in the last year, 50% of which were taken from private residences. It's a major worry for cycle owners as 95% never see their cycles again but the compact Trimetals store provides peace of mind with advanced protection from the costs and inconvenience of theft. Trimetals Protect a Cycle has received wide acclaim in product tests by leading cycle magazines and , in addition to the Secured By Design mark, it's also been certified by the Loss Prevention Board so it helps attract policy discounts from leading insurers. It is a robust PVC coated galvanised steel unit with high security features that's maintenance-free and provides storage for up to three full size adult bikes. And, home security for cycles is set to become even more important as a result of major Police and security crackdowns on cycle theft by opportunistic thieves and organised gangs, says Andrew Smith of Trimetals. "Cycles are now very fashionable and lots of people invest significant amounts of money in personalising their bikes. Most cyclists will have strong locks to protect their prize possessions while out and about, but often overlook security at home. But now the thieves are being actively targeted in public places, they're checking out the easier pickings of rickety sheds, back gardens and open hallway doors so Protect a Cycle is the ideal way to avoid becoming the next victim," he says. The unit is compact and is supplied as a comprehensive package which includes an integral metal floor, two stainless steel metal hasps with padlocks and a ground anchor with a flexible metal security cable. Further security is provided with two additional padlock points and a totally enclosed robust window-free steel design that's guaranteed for 25 years and protects cycles against theft and the weather. Protect a Cycle is available in two colourways – two tone green or cream, with optional extra padlocks and storage shelving and a convenient spring assisted opening action for ease of use. It stands just 1.33m high, is 1.96 wide and 0.89cm deep, large enough to accommodate up to three full size adult cycles. It costs £499 and can also be purchased on the Trimetals payment plan, with 12, 24 or 36 monthly repayments. Products can be ordered on line from www.protectacycle.co.uk and the price includes delivery to the UK mainland and VAT. Additional costs apply for offshore island deliveries and Scotland. www.protectacycle.co.uk

Hell, that container looks like it's worth more than the bike in it. LOL

Thieves just cut these open so if you're thinking about getting one make sure you use good locks and a solid ground anchor on the inside as well.
